1-One image that came to mind was a kid on a diving boad a line that helped me was doing evrything but dive. Also anouther idea that came to mind was a kid walking on a diving board securing evrything.
The sentence that helped me was "You've been up that diving board."
The picture i get is standing on the over the water.
the image i got was at a pool waiting to go on the diving board, the thing that helped me was "you've been up on that diving board" and "doing everything but dive"
The sentence that helps me was you been up on that diving board.the image that comes to mind is a kid on a diving board scared.
1- One image that came to my mind was a kid in a bathing suit making sure that the diving board can hold his weight. Some of the words that helped the picture get into my mind were: "It can stand the weight.
2- Another image that came to my mind was a little boy griping his toes to the diving board. Some of the words that helped the image come to my mind were: "And that your toes can get a grip."
Those are some images that came to my mind while I was reading it.
One image that came to my mind was a kid bouncing a little bit on the diving board. This image came to my mind because of line 7. Line 7 said the character made sure that the diving board would bounce right so he would probably bounce a little bit to check this. Another image that came to my mind was a picture of a nervous kid because the last line said the character did everything but dive and he was up their since have past five.
The image helped me see that the charcter was scared to jump of the diving board. Form the face of the charcter, I can see he has been up there for a long time.
One image that comes to my mind, is the boy jumping up and down on the diving board.
I picture him bouncing up and down to make sure that he won't go side to side and fall off.
Line 7 of the poem is where I am getting the image from.
The image I saw in my head was a little boy on a diving board checking everything, instead of go into the water. I got it from the line "Making sure it's nice and straight", I also got it from the line that said "You've made sure it's not too slick", last of all I got it from the line that said "Doin everything...but DIVE"
The last 2 lines told me that he has been up there very long time checking the board. The image I got from that was him doing a bunch of ridiculous things to make sure the diving board is safe. I also pictured people looking at him and thinking [why won't that boy just dive!] and mumbling about how he is acting dramatic about the diving board.
In my mind I see a little boy trying to go off the diving board for the first time ever. He is very scared and nervous. He is checking the board to stall and make sure that the board is perfect.
The image that I saw was, a little boy at the pool of a movie that I saw which was, Diary of a Whimpy kid, and I'm not sure which movie it was, but it had a really high diving board, and a really big pool. I imagined that, the little bit was just lookin' around-basicly stalling. There was his older sister on the ground waiting for him to go. I figured that he was stalling because, in line 10 it said that he was,"doing everything, but DIVE!" I slso saw him hugging himself, and actin scared!
One image that comes to my mind is a little boy bouncing on the diving board and making sure everything is right and this comes to my mind because on line 7 it says he bounced a little to make sure that the diving board is O.K and also I picture a little boy standing above the water and I picture this because it says "you have been standing up there half past five and also " you've been doing everything but... DIVE.
When I read all the lines that told me all he was doing made a picture appear in my head. Also when they said you have been up their since half past 5 so I pictured a scared boy standing on the diving board for a long time.
The image that came to my mind was a little boy jumping a little bit because on line 7 it said make sure the bounce was right and you would need to jump to check if the bounce was right.
The lines that helped me make a picture in my head were the lines where the character was testing the diving board. The specific lines that
made a picture in my head were the lines that said "you've been up on that diving board" and "you've been up there half-past 5, doing every thing but dive." The picture in my head is a boy on a diving board looking nervous.
When it says make sure it can stand the weight I image that your jumping on the board to make sure it wont break. Also when it says to make sure your cloths dose not slip I image pulling up his shorts and shirt .
The image that comes to my mind is that of a boy, standing on the diving board, too scared to dive. He is also checking the safety of the diving board as he is scared that he may fall off the diving board.
The image in my head is the boy scared to jump of the diving board. Also he is checking if everything is safe but he won't dive.
The image I have in my mind is that the boy is scared out of his mind to jump of the diving board but making sure that everything is okay so he knows its safe.
1.The picture in my mind was that a boy was on a diving board and his face was scared .
2. The lines that helped me was you've been up there half past five doing everything but DIVE.
I imagine a tall diving board nice and straight, with cloth on the board, a little wet. A scared little boy looking at the spring. Stepping on the board hard over and over. Bouncing a few times, and getting his toes a grip to the cloth. I Imagine a clock saying half past 5 and I imagine this all because of the line number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
